Technical details

The LokPilot 5 Fx micro and its "twin" LokPilot 5 Fx micro DCC is an extremely small function decoder with a footprint of just 8.0mm x 7.0mm and a thickness of just 2.4mm (at the capacitor: 2.9mm). It is used in all vehicles of nominal sizes N to H0 that do not have a motor output but should still be able to switch light effects.
LokPilot 5 Fx micro decoders are always offered with an 8-pin interface.

Operating modes

The LokPilot 5 Fx micro is a real multi-protocol decoder. It supports the DCC data format as well as Motorola® and Selectrix®. In the DCC format, 14 to 128 speed levels are as natural as 2- and 4-digit addresses and up to 32 functions. Thanks to RailComPlus®, the decoders register fully automatically with a suitable digital control center. It can handle all DCC programming modes and thanks to RailCom®, the CV values on the main track can be read out with suitable control centers. There are auxiliary registers for control centers that can only program CVs from 1-255. Motorola® users benefit from up to 28 speed levels with 255 addresses. Three additional Motorola® addresses enable 16 functions to be triggered. A built-in programming mode also makes reprogramming possible with the venerable Control Unit 6021.
The LokPilot 5 Fx DCC "only" speaks the DCC protocol, but can also be registered automatically with the corresponding control centers with RailComPlus®.
The LokPilot 5 Fx micro decoder recognizes the Märklin® braking sections as well as ZIMO® HLU / ZACK commands or the Lenz® ABC system. Braking with DCC brake modules or with direct current is also possible. In addition, it also stops when a Selectrix® brake diode is activated. An ABC shuttle train system enables automatic shuttle travel between two stations. This is also important with a function decoder in order to be able to synchronize the control car and the motor car.
The LokPilot 5 Fx decoder can be used on analogue DC railways.
The decoder switches between the operating modes fully automatically "on the fly". In most cases, nothing needs to be set.

Functions

The LokPilot 5 Fx micro or LokPilot 5 Fx micro DCC has been equipped with an astonishing number of function outputs. There are 6 amplified function outputs, each with 180mA output current, as well as two logic level outputs for servos or Susi. The brightness of each output can be set separately.

Operational safety

If required, a PowerPack can be connected to the LokPilot 5 Fx micro and LokPilot 5 Fx micro DCC to bridge dirty track sections.
