ACME AC69543 - Electric locomotive BR 230 001-0 DR, condition 1991 Ep. V - Gauge H0
Electric locomotive BR 230 train of the future
DCC Sound E-locomotive BR 230 "dumpling press" of the DR, for era 5, company number 230 001-0 in operating condition 1991 with continuous handlebar on the fronts, pantographs of the series machines and white ones Buffer rings.
About the history of the locomotive?..
The 230 001-01 was a unique piece compared to the later series locomotives. In total, Skoda delivered 20 machines to the DR. Initially all as the 230 series, which were then redesignated as BR 180 at the beginning of 1992 and were used by DBAG under this series from 1994 until the 2000s.
The 230 001-0 was developed as a prototype by Skoda at the beginning of 1988 delivered and put into service by the DR in the Dresden-Friedrichstadt depot. Until the end of 1989, the 230 001-0 could only be seen on test drives, as a train locomotive for special trains (for example in April 1988 as a train locomotive for the train of the future) and at trade fairs and exhibitions. The locomotive was only put into normal service at the beginning of 1990.
The 19 series locomotives (230 002 to 230 020) were only delivered to the DR in 1991. This made the 230 001-0 the only example of this series that was already in the DR's inventory before the fall of the Wall.
The prototype differs from the series locomotives essentially in the special locomotive lettering, the missing DR logos, the changed arrangement of the so-called UIC socket, interrupted handlebars under the driver's cab windows and other current collectors.
In 1991, the broken handlebars were replaced by a continuous handlebar. The locomotive also received the pantographs from the series machines and white buffer rings. These changes are implemented in an exemplary manner in our model.
In this variant, the 230 001-0 / or 180 001-0 with DR lettering was in use until it was adopted into the DB inventory. In 1994 the locomotive lettering was changed, the engine received DB logos and the white buffer rings were painted over. After being returned to the CD in 2003, the machine is still in use today as the BR 371 in the current color scheme.
Model equipped with a replica driver's cab. The model has a 21-pin ESU LokSound decoder, which enables prototypical light changes. Coupling mount according to NEM 362 and short coupling kinematics.
