The T 16.1 (later BR 94.5) was a freight train tank locomotive of the Royal Prussian State Railway. A total of 1,236 locomotives of this series were built, including repeat orders from the German Reichsbahn between 1913 and 1924. Due to their performance, the locomotives of this series were not only found on branch lines and in shunting service, but could also replace the cost-intensive rack operation on steep stretches in friction operation.
