Consisting of a 2nd class compartment carriage, type Büm 234, a 1st class compartment carriage, type Aüm 203 and a half-baggage carriage, type BDüm 273.

The "Hispania-Express" ran between Copenhagen from 1963, and from 1969 between Hamburg and Port Bou. From this point on, it was operated in Germany as an accelerated express train with a top speed of 160 km/h, like only TEE and F or IC trains.
The train is being recreated for the 1976/77 timetable year, as the "Hispania" had a particularly large number of 1st/2nd class (ABüm) carriages that year, the typical through coaches of the German Federal Railways. To reach 160 km/h, the carriages, which also included the first examples in ocean blue/beige, had to be equipped with magnetic rail brakes.
