The series 186 is a multi-system locomotive of the second TRAXX generation from Bombardier. Based on the TRAXX F140 AC2, the four-system locomotive types F140 MS(2e) were developed from 2004 with additional equipment for the direct current networks with 1.5 kV (Netherlands, France) and 3 kV (Belgium, Poland and Italy), provided the corresponding additional equipment and train protection systems are in place. With a service weight of 85 t, they produce 5,600 kW. The maximum speed is 140 km/h. The total of 65 locomotives of DB AG (DB Cargo, Euro Cargo Rail) can be found mainly in Germany, France and Belgium.
