Kato K101529 - TGV Réseau Duplex SNCF multiple unit, 10 pieces, epoch six
The TGV Réseau is part of the second generation of French high-speed trains. In contrast to the TGV Atlantique, it only has eight pressurized intermediate cars. The 300 km/h silver/blue painted trains are not only used in intra-French traffic but also connect France with Belgium and Italy. From 2003, 38 TGV Réseau power cars were coupled with duplex intermediate cars newly ordered by the SNCF from Alstom; these new double-decker sets are now called TGV Réseau Duplex.
Model details:
- Double traction: There are coupling rods on each model that make double traction possible. In double traction, for better driving behavior, cars M1 and M2 must be swapped on train 1 (both motorized heads coupled together). On the boards of these two motorized heads, the light between the trains can be switched off by plugging an included plug into the interface.
- Prepared for interior lighting
- Excellent driving characteristics thanks to 5-pin. Motor with two flywheels and traction tires
- detailed model reproduction and fine printing
- 6-pin. NEM 651 interfaces in the power cars
For digitization we recommend a standard 6-pin decoder (e.g. Kühn N-025, Art.H28602). 2 pieces per set are required (for motor control and outside light control).
