BRAWA 47723 - H0 Latrine car KWSt.E.
Model information
Latrine wagons were used to dispose of urban wastewater, primarily that of large cities. The transport from the toilet pits to the loading stations was carried out by horse-drawn carts. From there the transport followed in block trains to various unloading points. One of these unloading points was just outside the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd. There the cargo was dumped into pits and temporarily stored. Farmers later picked up the so-called waste fertilizer and distributed it to the fields in the surrounding area.
