Prototype information
The Northern Star was a train connecting Paris with Amsterdam via Brussels that circulated from the 1920s to the mid-1990s.
The Northern Star circulated between Paris and Brussels in the 1920s and was operated by the Northern Railways and the SNCB. When the Compagnie des Wagons took over operation of this train in 1927, Amsterdam was the new destination1,2. In 1957, with the arrival of all-new diesel equipment, the Northern Star line was extended to Amsterdam and this train was integrated into the Europe Express pool until the late 1950s.
