The included routers in these starter sets are preconfigured, so that putting the WLAN multi-mouse into operation is completely problem-free and can be driven off immediately with a vehicle address of your choice. Even batteries are already included in the Roco mouse if it is part of a ZIMO starter set.
Of course, in a system with the mouse (without a ZIMO control panel), a number of ZIMO-typical features and display options are not available: no locomotive Pictures, no function symbols, no speedometer, no collective stop, etc. - but everything in the base device is prepared for expansion with ZIMO remotes of the current (MX32) or future version, including the radio module including antenna (see picture) for radio remote control consoles is installed. The (free) Roco Z21 app can also be used.
