Technical details

Magnetic article modules (in contrast to magnetic article receivers, switch decoders, etc.) are controlled via the CAN bus and also use this for feedback information. This means that they are independent of power failures (short circuits, etc.) on the track system, can be operated with a different (lower or higher) switch voltage than the track, and do not burden the digital circuit, neither in terms of power consumption nor in terms of data transmission in both directions.

Light signals can be operated with the lamps slowly glowing up and down as in the prototype (time sequences can be defined using CVs). The MX8S and MX8M also offer 14 auxiliary inputs that enable direct train-controlled switching of switches (contact rails, reed contacts, etc.) (assignable via CV).
Magnetic accessory module for 16 switches with motor or EPL drive, as well as all connection options of the MX8S: Magnetic accessory module for 16 switches with double coil drive, or 32 uncouplers, or light signals with a total of 32 lamps. Mixing in groups is possible, e.g. 4 switches and 6 4-aspect signals.
