Wagon set 1 with four reconditioned wagons of the Deutsche Reichsbahn.

Consists of a 3-axle pilot series wagon with 4 doors, type Bage, a 3-axle seating wagon, type Bage, a 3-axle load wagon, type Bagtre and a 2-axle seating wagon, type Baage.

At the end of the 1950s, the German Reichsbahn had a large number of different 2- and 3-axle passenger cars of the regional design with wooden car bodies. As part of a reconstruction program, the robust chassis of the cars were made to a uniform length and the worn wooden car bodies were replaced with a welded new structure. In a pilot series, cars with 4 doors were initially built, but only 2 doors were used in series production. Later, baggage and mail cars were built in addition to the passenger cars. In total, around 3,000 cars were reconstructed or built.
