In June 2018, the Raaberbahn/GYSEV bought two BR 233 locomotives (nicknamed "Ludmilla") from the DB site in Chemnitz. The Cottbus plant of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung was commissioned to carry out the overhaul. The repainting in the typical GYSEV colors green and yellow was also carried out there. It was then fitted with radio and safety equipment in Sopron. The two powerful diesel locomotives are used to pull freight trains.
