Model details

Carriage set 1 with three Eurofima express train carriages for the Eurocity 60 "Maria Theresia" of the Austrian Federal Railways.

Consists of two 2nd class compartment carriages, type Bmz, and a half-baggage carriage with half windows, type BDmsz.

As part of the Austro-Takt, three express trains were offered as fast day connections from Vienna to Switzerland in the early 1980s. The "Zürichsee" ended in the city of Zurich, which gave it its name.
With the timetable change in May 1987, the European Railways introduced the new train type "EuroCity". These were international train connections that had to meet certain quality criteria in terms of travel time and rolling stock. The express train "Zürichsee" became the Eurocity "Maria Theresia" during the conversion.
