The 1144 040, also known as a modern nostalgic locomotive, is the last locomotive in this series, which is in the original blood orange design with a black frame and Pflatsch logo. Put into service in 1979 as 1044.40, it was equipped with push-pull control and LED headlights in 2010 and renumbered 1144 040. However, the number 1144.40 is affixed to the front. The locomotive is still in reliable service in this appearance today.
