The 185.2 series is an electric dual-system locomotive with a crash-optimized locomotive body from Bombardier Transportation. It can be used on both of the alternating voltage systems commonly used in Europe, 15 kV/16 2/3 Hz and 25 kV/ 50 Hz.
The 185 389 was delivered to DB AG in 2009 and is approved for Germany and Austria. As part of an extensive cooperation in the transport of new cars between the DB-AG Group and the car manufacturer Audi, the locomotive was given a striking special design.
