The locomotive 1041.002, which was damaged in a collision in the summer of 1987, was repaired in the main workshop in Linz. As part of this repair, the locomotive was given a new gearbox with helical gearing and other motors that enabled a top speed of 110 km/h. As a result, the machine was registered in the register with the new operating number 1041 202 from January 1990. The locomotive, which was stationed in the Attnang-Puchheim train haulage line, was mainly used on the Salzkammergut Railway.
