Novelty 2021: With the new design of the PIKO BR 83.10 from the DR, there is a large-scale model of this extraordinary locomotive type in the nominal size TT for the first time. In keeping with the special features of the prototype, the finely detailed PIKO model can present itself as an outstanding locomotive.
The striking machine in the version with three domes and three-light
headlights impresses with its excellent
implementation of the prototype proportions and comes with numerous
extra parts: fine cables, wind deflectors,
bell, whistle, lid of the water tanks, alternator, steps for the
buffer plank, ladders, hand poles, heating cables and sand pipes. The
fine spoked wheels, the filigree controls as well as the detailed
cab interior including firebox lighting make
the locomotive an additional eye-catcher on the layout. Technically, the PIKO BR 83.10 is also state-of-the-art and has driver's cab and chassis lighting. The
strong motor, in combination with two built-in traction tires
ensures sufficient tractive power to cover all prototypical
train combinations. The model also includes brake hoses and tow hooks. The firebox lighting is only active in conjunction with a decoder.
