PIKO 40646 - N passenger car n-car 2nd class DB AG V

Novelty 2022: Printed version of the DB AG's 2nd class passenger car in mint green paint from Era V. A family of local passenger cars from the German Federal Railways is known among railway fans as a silver coin. The vehicles owe their name “Silberlinge” to their stainless steel car bodies. Over 5,000 examples were built between 1961 and 1980 and were available from DB Regio until the beginning of 2020. The cars are also often referred to as n-cars after their sub-genre symbol. With the n-cars, PIKO has added a vehicle type to its range that practically cannot be missing from any model railway whose theme is based on the Bundesbahn or DB AG. As with the prototype, the models also differ depending on the car class in terms of window layout and interior design; the dimensions have been converted into size N in accordance with the prototype. Mold construction at the highest level ensures extremely plastic-looking bogies and the high-quality painting and printing that PIKO is used to gives the vehicles an excellent finish. The vehicles are prepared for the easy retrofitting of interior lighting.
