New for 2022: Variant of the BR 216 of the DB in beige-blue paint. In the 1960s and 1970s, the V 160 and 216 series were the express train locomotives for routes without contact wires on the Federal Railway. The model of this important vehicle type not only closes a gap in PIKO's N range, but will enrich many model railway systems from eras III to V with its numerous variants. The development team has implemented the distinctive shape of the model in the model with outstanding quality and at the same time achieved ideal driving characteristics. These attributes are underlined by the effective use of perfect engravings and a paint finish that is consistent down to the smallest detail. Contemporary LED technology serves as the basis for changing the light to red and white. In the sound variant, the BR 216 model has a suitable Next18 sound decoder ex works. The BR 216 comes for the first time in the series version with a high serial number. This is characterized by a silencer, UIC socket, forehead handle and wide step. The picture is rounded off by the beefy snow clearer and the classic color scheme of the Federal Railway from the 1980s in beige and ocean blue.
