PIKO 53082 - Reko trolley luggage, D3ge DR III
In order to modernize its passenger car fleet more quickly, the DR decided to equip existing two- and three-axle state railway cars with new bodies. From 1959 onwards, the first wagons known as Rekowagen were in use and soon formed the backbone of the DR's passenger transport. They could be found on all routes, with trains with up to 10 wagons running on main lines.
