PIKO 50614 - Steam locomotive BR 78 DRG II
New for 2022 The model of the DRG BR 78 from Era II impresses with its great wealth of detail. Almost all cables were free-standing and the individual elements, such as the driver's cab, water tanks and smoke chamber, are decorated with the finest replicas of the rivet heads. The integrated PluX22 interface enables quick retrofitting with a digital decoder. The steam locomotive is also prepared for retrofitting with sound. With this locomotive, PIKO has created a model of the BR 78 in its original appearance, just as the locomotive came from the factory in Kassel in 1923. What is striking is the small coal box without top boards, the missing deflectors on the rear wall of the driver's cab, the smoke chamber door with a large locking wheel and the two large lamps on the buffer beam. The labeling also corresponds faithfully to the operating condition upon delivery.
