PIKO 50700 - BR 62 DB III steam locomotive
New for 2024: This new design from PIKO is powerful, compact and yet extremely delicate. The squat design of the prototype was perfectly captured and implemented to scale in the model. Thanks to the delicate bar frame and the clear view of the engine area, the massive boiler almost appears to be floating. This impression is supported by the fine wheel stars of the chassis, which also features a fine brake linkage. The typical structural features of the models were also taken into account when implementing them into the model.
The crystal-clear window inserts of the driver's cab and the unobstructed interior allow a clear view of the detailed
boiler and driver's cab rear wall. The die-cast zinc and metal parts give the model a very high weight, which in combination with the finely tuned motor with flywheels ensures optimal driving characteristics. By retrofitting a PSD XP decoder, the lighting of the engine and the driver's cab as well as the flickering in the firebox can be switched digitally. A modern PluX22 interface is available for this. In addition, the model is prepared for a sound retrofit with the largest possible loudspeaker.
