Novelty 2021: With the newly designed PIKO BR 83.10 from the DR, there is now an operational, large-scale model of this extraordinary
locomotive type for the first time. In keeping with the special nature of the prototype, the finely detailed PIKO model can also present itself as an outstanding locomotive. The striking locomotive in a three-domed design with triple headlights
impresses with its excellent implementation of the original proportions and features a variety of specially attached parts, including many fine cables, smoke deflectors, bells, whistles, lids on the water tanks,
Alternator, steps to the buffer beam, ladders, hand poles, heating cables and sand pipes. The fine spoke wheels, the filigree controls and the detailed cab interior make the locomotive an eye-catcher on the layout. The PIKO BR 83.10 is also technically state-of-the-art and has driver's cab lighting, chassis lighting, LED headlights and the option of equipping the locomotive with a smoke generator. The powerful engine, in combination with 2 built-in traction tires, ensures sufficient pulling power for all prototypical train combinations. Installing a digital decoder and retrofitting with sound is possible without any problems. The center conductor versions of the model are equipped with mfx®‑capable digital decoders ex works. The sound locomotives also come with a smoke generator at the factory. Brake hoses, tow hooks and long protective tubes
are included with the model.
