PIKO 96387 - Sound electric locomotive ET41 PKP IV, including PIKO sound decoder
New for 2023: Printed version of the ET41 PKP in the design of Era IV. The PIKO ET 41, like its original, embodies a clear, functionally reliable and low-maintenance design. As a double locomotive, the PIKO model consists of a vehicle segment with a drive and a non-drive segment. Thanks to the powerful engine with two precisely balanced flywheels and the cardan shaft drives on the two two-axle bogies, the PIKO ET 41 has very balanced running characteristics. The high dead weight, in conjunction with the diagonal traction tires on the internal axles of the driven bogies, ensures prototypically high tensile forces. Since the four axles of the unpowered segment also serve to draw power and both segments are connected via a live close coupling, the model has exceptionally safe power draw across a total of 16 wheels. The model has a PIKO sound decoder with a matching speaker ex works. A special feature is that it is possible to switch to overhead line operation.
