PIKO 51911 - Sound-E-Lok BR 140 DB IV AC version, including PIKO sound decoder
Novelty 2022: Variant of the BR 140 in the beige-blue paintwork of the BR in Era IV. With the Class 140 in Era IV, PIKO is once again turning to an absolute classic of the German Federal Railway. The bread and butter locomotive achieved great popularity due to its large number of units and decades of use. The PIKO model has numerous extras, including free-standing handlebars, digitally switchable cab lighting and included brake hoses. The five-pole PIKO motor, which drives all four axles, ensures excellent running characteristics with its two large flywheels and power consumption via eight wheels. To ensure high tractive power, the compact model has, in addition to the die-cast zinc frame, two traction tires that sit diagonally on the internal axles of both bogies. The model features all PIKO standards, including a PluX22 interface, white/red light change and close coupling kinematics. The sound version of the PIKO BR 140 is factory-equipped with an mfx®-capable PluX22 sound decoder.
