New in 2022: Variant of the Rh 1044 in the ÖBB version in Era IV. The characterful locomotive face of the former ÖBB parade horse was excellently captured in the model implementation, as was the striking side section of the vehicles, with the pronounced beads and the typical “portholes”. posed challenges to mold making. Model railroaders who prefer digital operation benefit from the mfx®-capable PluX22 sound decoder, which is already factory-installed in the sound version. The lighting change, which is mandatory today, was realized using contemporary LED technology, as was the attractive driver's desk illumination. However, the lighting in the driver's cab, which is also available in the PIKO model and can be switched in digital mode, is not a given. For the first time, the machine appears in its original version with locomotive signs, type VI pantographs, round buffers and four sandboxes.
