PIKO 52967 - Diesel locomotive V 160 010 DB III
New in 2024: The V 160 010 of the DB in Era III as a prototypical variant of the BR 216 from PIKO. During construction, the specific features of the prototype were precisely transferred to the model. In the 1960s and 1970s, the V 160 and 216 series were the express train locomotives for routes without contact wires on the Federal Railway. The PIKO model combines prototypical implementation with excellent driving characteristics. These attributes are underlined by the effective use of perfect engravings and a paint finish that is consistent down to the smallest detail. Contemporary LED technology serves as the basis for the light change in red/white as well as the light functions that can be switched by retrofitting a digital decoder. The PluX22 digital interface is state-of-the-art for easy installation of a decoder. The buffer beam of the vehicle can be completed prototypically using the included accessories.
