New in 2022: Variant of the BR 216 in the DB version in Era IV. The V 160 or 216 series was the express train locomotive for routes without contact wire on the Federal Railway in the 1960s and 1970s. The new design of this important vehicle type not only closes a gap in PIKO's range, but will also enrich many model railway systems from eras III to V with numerous variants. The development team has implemented the distinctive shape of the model in the model with outstanding quality and at the same time achieved ideal driving characteristics. These attributes are underlined by the effective use of perfect engravings and a paint finish that is consistent down to the smallest detail. Contemporary LED technology serves as the basis for the light change in red/white as well as the light functions that can be switched by retrofitting a digital decoder. The sound models have a suitable sound decoder installed at the factory. The buffer beam of the vehicle can be completed prototypically using the included accessories.
