MKD HC2104 - Cargo concrete sleepers
Model details
Load for wagons of types Rs, Res, etc.
Since wooden sleepers are made of an expensive raw material, experiments were carried out early on to determine which materials would be suitable for the substructure of a track. Concrete is easy to work with and therefore offers a range of design options. The first concrete sleepers were introduced around 1890, and in Germany, testing of concrete sleepers began in the 1920s. However, they were not manufactured on a larger scale until 1949. By 1974, 25 million concrete sleepers had already been installed on the Federal Railway.
Transportation today is usually carried out using standardized wagons of types Res, Rs, etc.
At around 199 x 28 mm, our new load fits almost all H0 models of these freight wagons. Our HEICOsleepers are made of high-quality resin and are all individually hand-painted.
