Snälltaget acquired ten Bvcmz 248.5 couchette cars from Germany in 2020 and modernized them visually. These cars, which were formerly used by CityNightLine and DB Nachtzug, are now used on the Stockholm – Berlin route. Initially the train from Stockholm to Trelleborg was pulled by a Vectron from Snälltaget - then the ferry crossing to Sassnitz took place. On the German side, the train was taken over by various private railways such as WFL. Since this year, the Snälltaget class 193 electric locomotives have been running the night train from Stockholm to Berlin. In addition, a night train has been running from Stockholm to Salzburg since 2022, meaning that the cars can also travel to southern regions.
