In 1991, the Swiss Federal Railways purchased twelve first-class Apm61Pano panoramic cars, which are suitable for a speed of 200 km/h and are used on the SBB's regular EuroCity trains. Since 2017, these cars have been used in a special train - the Gotthard Panorama Express. In addition to several first and second class large-capacity cars, the train also carries three panoramic cars. The GoPEx starts in Flüelen and goes over the world-famous and historic Gotthard route towards Ticino.
