Kato K2016-9 - Steam locomotive D51 611 JNR, Ep.III
D51 498 was manufactured in 1940 and entered service throughout Japan before being decommissioned in 1972. 14 years later, in 1988, it was preserved in working condition to show a steam locomotive of its heyday.
The N scale model is based on the D51 498 prototype, which was part of the Takasaki locomotive depot in 2008 .
