From 1964 onwards, the SBB also underwent a fundamental renewal of its fleet with the aim of international traffic. The ÖBB also had these wagons built at Jenbachwerke in 1976 as part of a license agreement and used them on the Austrian rail network. The SBB experimented with different green variants, which are also reproduced in the model. Matching the passenger cars, sleeping cars, couchette cars and restaurant cars were also put into service and used on cross-border routes to Austria, Italy and Germany.
