Jägerndorfer JC60102_1 - N electric locomotive 1042 Hectorail Sound
The 1042 series of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) were electric universal locomotives that were in use from 1963 to 2012. The machines were built by the Floridsdorf and Simmering-Graz-Pauker locomotive factories. They have been an important pillar of ÖBB's electric rail operations since the 1960s. From the serial number 1042.531 onwards, all existing machines were converted to the 1142 series in the 1990s.
