In addition to the successful electric locomotives, Siemens also presented a diesel variant of the Vectron at Innotrans 2010.
With the introduction of dual mode, however, production at Siemens was stopped, so that only around 10 units are on the road in Germany and Austria.
Like the Hobbytrain electric locomotive variant, the diesel locomotive is also equipped with Next18 SST and space for a loudspeaker.
The model has exceptional detailing and workmanship (finely executed, etched and separately inserted fan grilles, mirrored side windows , high beam can be turned on and dimmed digitally, etc.).
