Diesel locomotive MaK 650D in a fictitious and exclusive design by the track construction company HF Wiebe.
From 1957, the 650 D and the 850 D were included in the MaK type program as a further development of the 600 D and 800 D. From the beginning, the longer chassis and the driver's cabs with sun protection roofs were used. Between 1958 and 1965, 21 of the 650 hp four-coupler were built, with the KBE (today HGK) being the largest customer with 8 units. Today some locomotives are still available and in operation on German private and museum railways.
