The locomotive 01 150 was delivered in 1935 with the factory number 22698 by the Henschel & Sohn locomotive smithy in Kassel. It initially earned its money in tough service on the low mountain routes in Hesse and Thuringia - from Bebra. It remained loyal to its Hessian homeland for thirty years. Darmstadt, Hanau, Frankfurt/M, Wiesbaden and Giessen were their stations and the main lines on the Rhine and Lahn, over the Spessart heights and the Wetterau were their territory. They were decommissioned in November 1973 in Hof.
