The E 10 series (from 1968: 110) was the most important express train locomotive of the German Federal Railway for many years. From the operating number 288 onwards they received a new locomotive body. This provided better aerodynamics, but also the name " The locomotives reached a top speed of 150 km/h with an output of 3,620 kW. With the ocean blue and ivory colour scheme from 1974, numerous 110s were repainted in this colour variant during overhauls.
