Train number recognition

The ECoSDetector RC is able to monitor its 4 track sections in particular: With the help of RailCom® technology (“local detector”) On these sections it is not only possible to find out whether there is a train on it, but even which train it is exactly (train number recognition). Of course, you will need a Railcom®-capable locomotive decoder for this.
Current sensor
Each of the 4 inputs of the ECoSDetector RC can also work as a current sensor. This means you will at least receive a track occupancy message, even if the detected decoder is not Railcom® compatible. A maximum of 3A current may flow through each input.

Knowing exactly which train is on a section, in conjunction with the ECoS route module, leads to new functions: For example, the barriers at a level crossing can be lowered automatically, or trains can look for a free track in the shadow station. ECoSlink connection
Every ECoSDetector RC is connected directly connected to the control center via the ECoSlink bus. In addition to all ECoS central stations, all Central Station® Reloaded with an update from ESU are also suitable. The galvanic isolation of the bus system and the control center ensures the highest level of operational reliability and secure transmission to the control center. All ECoSDetector RC are automatically recognized at the control center and integrated into the operational process. The devices are configured conveniently and conveniently directly at the control center and can also be carried out after installation.
Future built-in
The operating software of each ECoSDetector RC can be updated and updated if necessary can be expanded to include additional functions: The required “update” is carried out fully automatically by the headquarters if necessary.
