The new ESU PowerPack Maxi was developed as a powerful addition to the LokSound L V4.0 / LokSound 5 L, but can also be used on all LokPilot V4.0, LokSound V4 where there is space. 0, LokSound V4.0 M4, LokPilot 5 and LokSound 5 can be connected and reliably supplies your locomotive with energy when driving over dirt spots and long switch routes. With the help of two energy storage devices (each with 5 Farad capacity), both the noise and the light and motor functions are buffered and ensure that your models can continue to drive without power for up to 3 seconds, depending on power consumption.
This PowerPack Maxi has an integrated charging circuit and is controlled by the decoder. It can therefore remain in the locomotive during programming. The charging current is also limited to prevent excessive strain on your booster if multiple models are in use. The buffer time can be limited using a CV on the decoder side, so that red signals also lead to an exact signal stop.
However, the size of the PowerPack Maxi of approx. 27.5 mm x 15.7 mm x 13 mm must be taken into account when installing. A 3-pin cable connection is required between the decoder and PowerPack Maxi. The cable is already soldered to the PowerPack Maxi, but has to be soldered on the decoder side itself.

Please note that for technical reasons the PowerPack switches off automatically in analogue mode: buffering is therefore not possible in analogue mode.
