ESU 51966 - Pickup switch board for use with LokSound/LokPilot decoders from V3.5 with 21MTC (not MKL) interface
Technical details
Many railcars are fitted with a collector at both ends. For proper functioning in block sections and for stopping in time at red signals, it is essential that only one collector is used to power the decoder, depending on the direction of travel.
The collector switch ensures this: It is hung between the pantographs and a LokPilot or LokSound decoder with a 21MTC interface. These generate a control signal that the collector switch electronics evaluate and switch the "correct" collector. This works perfectly in digital and analogue mode.
The base area of the board measures 43mm x 24mm.
Note:
The LokPilot Basic V1.0 and MKL decoders are not suitable for the collector switch electronics.
