BRAWA 6343 - H0 Hahnenkammbahn building set
Model information
High above the famous Austrian winter sports resort of Kitzbühel, the Hahnenkamm rises at 1,712 m. Several cable cars lead to the ski area - venue for the annual Hahnenkamm race.
The valley station of the Hahnenkammbahn is located directly in Kitzbühel, from here you can reach the mountain station at an altitude of 1,658 m within 15 minutes. The cable car was built in 1929 as an aerial tramway and converted into today's circulating gondola lift in 1996. It overcomes a height difference of 872 m over a distance of 2,356 m. The gondolas offer space for six people and a great view of the Alpine panorama. The gondolas bear, among other things, the name of the victorious ski racers in the international Hahnenkamm race on the Streif.
The Streif is considered one of the most difficult and dangerous racing slopes in the world and has been the venue for the Hahnenkamm races since 1931. The BRAWA model also has the original lettering. The Hahnenkammbahn in H0 scale is a highlight for every model railway system. It opens up the mountain world and invites you to go hiking or skiing.
