Role model information

The first trips showed that the new locomotive not only met all expectations, but even exceeded them. The locomotive ran very smoothly even at high speeds; the boiler always provided enough steam for the balanced four-cylinder engine. In July 1907, the record speed of 154.4 km/h was finally achieved during test runs between Munich and Augsburg. No steam locomotive had ever run faster on the European mainland.
