BRAWA 46265 - H0 luggage trolley MDyg986 DB
Role model information
After the end of the war, there was a major shortage of luggage cars for long-distance express trains. However, the young DB decided to use the available funds to build new passenger cars and to solve the baggage car problem on the basis of conversions. To do this, it used the approximately 600 makeshift passenger cars that remained in its inventory after the end of the war. These were no longer acceptable to travelers due to their interior design and poor running characteristics. Two of these car bodies were connected, fitted with a truss and placed on two American-made bogies. The approximately 290 baggage cars built from 1950 onwards were designated as MPw4ie-54/55 and MPw4yg-57.
