BRAWA 41585 - H0 diesel locomotive BR 290 DB
Prototype information
Around 50 years ago, on August 4, 1964, the German Federal Railway put the first of a total of 511 locomotives of the V90/290 and 291 series from Mak into service. The locomotives were developed for heavy shunting and handover services. In order to simplify operation, a large number of the locomotives were equipped with radio remote control and automatic coupling, which was made visible from the outside by awarding the new series 294, 295 and 296. The locomotive family is still in reliable use today and it was only with the appearance of the new Voith Gravita that DB AG removed the first BR 291/295 locomotives from the maintenance fleet.

Taking into account all specific details of the 290, 291, 294, 295 and 296 series (e.g. different position of the fan, additional railings and different bogie equipment)
Lighting equipped with maintenance-free LEDs
Chassis and gearbox housing made of die-cast zinc
Etched radiator grille
Spring buffers
Free-standing handles and handlebars
Free view through the driver's cab
Replica of the brake linkage
Prototypical reproduction of the Bogie frame including the axle gear
Original sound and powered fan (digital version EXTRA)
