Arndt Special Models 80001 - Diesel locomotive DE 2700/Series 861 Hectorrail, Ep.VI, Obelix, DC/DCC
As of 2018, Hectorrail Deutschland acquired a total of six DE2700 series diesel locomotives, which had become unemployed after being withdrawn from passenger transport on the Hamburg-Altona – Westerland (Sylt) route. The locomotives were and are used nationwide in freight transport, but especially in tank car transport in the Nossen area in Saxony, where they are often used in double traction.
The frame and housing of the model are made of die-cast zinc, the roof attachment is made of plastic. Paintwork and printing correspond exactly to the original. Replicating a variety of details. Short coupling link with NEM coupling mount. Springy buffers. Headlights and taillights that change with the direction of travel and can be controlled digitally. Drive on all six axles (AC variant: on all axles of a bogie), two wheels with traction tires. Built-in ESU locomotive pilot for digital and analogue operation. Sound variant: ESU-LokSound 5 with sound capsule and true-to-original locomotive sound from a new recording from February 2022, exclusively for ASM.

Finest reproduction of all details. Roof side ventilation grilles modified in accordance with the original compared to the original version as ME26. Alternating head/tail lighting, digitally switchable. Digitally switchable high beam headlights in the upper light box. Driven by a five-pole motor on all six axles.
