Arndt Special Models 79401 - Diesel locomotive DE2700 NIAG, Ep.V, DC/DCC
From 2012 onwards, NIAG rented one of the DE2700 series diesel locomotives used by the Nord-Ostsee-Bahn for freight train use. The prototype of our model was given the company number “10” and could be found in this field of operation in the entire Rhine-Ruhr area until 2017. The paintwork and lettering were left as they were, only the locomotive number and the NIAG web address were placed on the locomotive.
The frame and housing of the model are made of die-cast zinc, the roof attachment is made of plastic. Paintwork and printing correspond exactly to the original. Replicating a variety of details. Short coupling link with NEM coupling mount. Springy buffers. Headlights and taillights that change with the direction of travel and can be controlled digitally. Drive on all six axles (AC variant: on all axles of a bogie), two wheels with traction tires. Built-in ESU locomotive pilot for digital and analogue operation. Sound variant: ESU-LokSound 5 with sound capsule and true-to-original locomotive sound from a new recording from February 2022, exclusively for ASM.
