These locomotives, like numerous other E.646, were modified around 2005 to be from the Cargo Trenitalia.
They are equipped with small red service lights over the existing white ones, as well as the third light on the upper part of the body, as well as the characteristic yellow stripes at the ends, which indicate the predominant use on freight trains .
