PIKO 51496 - Sound electric locomotive E 17 DB III AC version, including PIKO sound decoder
Novelty 2024: Form variant of the BR 117 as the E 17 of the DB in Era III. The model reproduces the distinctive shapes of the original true to scale. The locomotive also impresses in detail, as it has delicate hand rods and roof cables as well as free-standing sandboxes and springs. When implementing the model, the specific features of the prototype were taken into account, including the front design and the three-part front windows. Technically, the PIKO model is in tune with the times and has silky-smooth driving characteristics, good pulling power and a built-in light change as standard. Like the lighting in the driver's cab and engine room, this is designed using the latest LED technology. The locomotive is factory-equipped with a matching PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker.
The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital centers, a new quality mark “fits mfx®” was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx® test and have passed it completely.
These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which indicates unrestricted mfx ® Functionality certified. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
