Since its presentation at Innotrans 2010, the Vectron from Siemens has become a real bestseller - over 750 machines to over 30 different customers in more than 17 countries and there is still no end in sight. New variants are added almost every day - and they drive across Europe. Thanks to its multi-system capability, the Vectron is the ideal locomotive for use on the tracks of Europe. SBB Cargo machines travel from Switzerland to the Netherlands or TXL Vectron from northern Germany to Italy. The Vectron is now also at home in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Due to the excellent detailing and workmanship, this unique N gauge model is enjoying increasing popularity.
Since 2018, Siemens has been offering the Smartron for Germany, a preconfigured locomotive that is currently only available in Capri blue. The Smartron is particularly interesting for smaller utilities operating within Germany and enables customers to operate cost-efficiently with high operational reliability.
